Using Flags in SiteOwl Mobile

Using Flags in SiteOwl Mobile

Overview

When working onsite, you might encounter issues that delay your progress or block your ability to complete your work. When this occurs, you'll likely want to update your Project Manager as soon as possible by sending an email or making a phone call. You also might want to document this information in the Installation Notes of the Device or Task you're working on. Taking these steps can be helpful but they may not be the most effective way of getting the issue resolved quickly. To help speed the communication of issues across your organization, SiteOwl has added the Flag feature to Devices and Tasks.

Instructions

Using Flags on Devices and Tasks to Communicate Issues

If you're having an issue installing a Device or completing a Task, you can add a Flag to the item. When viewing a Device or Task in SiteOwl Mobile, tap the white Flag icon at the top right.

After you tap the Flag icon, you'll be asked to enter a required Flag Note describing the issue.

Tap the Add Flag button to set the Flag. The Flag icon at top-right will change to red. Then tap the Save button to save all changes to the Device or Task. When your changes are synced the Project Manager assigned to the Project in SiteOwl will receive an email alerting them to the issue.

Reviewing Flagged Devices

When viewing a Plan in SiteOwl Mobile, Devices and Tasks that are Flagged, or have a Secondary that is Flagged, will have a Flag badge.

When you tap the device, you'll see which of the Devices and Tasks in the group have been Flagged.

When viewing a Device or Task that has been Flagged, you'll see the Flag Notes that have been added.

While editing a Flagged Device or Task, you can update the Flag Note or remove the Flag by tapping the Flag icon at the top-right, then tapping the Save button.
